Gateway Gallery Grand Opening ... a Grand Success!

In spite of the unkind freezing rain that couldn't have come at a more inappropriate time, it was quite a party. Thanks to all who ventured out to see the new artwork of both resident artists and guest artists. It was a very festive evening. Some people took us up on our challenge to impress us with their own creative version of black tie attire (see photo below). 

Many people left with some very nice door prizes donated by resident artists and local businesses. A number of other happy folks purchased original artworks, photographs, greeting cards, and more. 

We encourage those of you who decided not to risk a fender bender to come in to see the work before the show ends on February 17.

Michael Anderson Featured Artist at Gateway Gallery

First Day Of Spring, 2011, oil on stretched canvas,  24" h x 30" w. 

Michael Anderson exhibited his watercolor sketches at Gateway Gallery earlier this year. His most recent plein air oils are now on exhibit as part of the Peaceful Places gallery-wide themed exhibit through December 30.
