More Art from Featured Artist Sheldon Johnson

Johnson is known for the vibrant color and brushstroke usage that is apparent in each of his abstracts. This show builds on that foundation with a very large politically based painting reflecting today’s political upheaval and inspired by the work of well known painter Philip Guston. The large oil blends abstraction and surreal elements leaving more conceptual symbols to populate his smaller pieces.

Gateway Gallery Opening Reception for "If This Be Not I" June 8, 6-9PM
