Gateway Gallery Grand Opening ... a Grand Success!

In spite of the unkind freezing rain that couldn't have come at a more inappropriate time, it was quite a party. Thanks to all who ventured out to see the new artwork of both resident artists and guest artists. It was a very festive evening. Some people took us up on our challenge to impress us with their own creative version of black tie attire (see photo below).

Many people left with some very nice door prizes donated by resident artists and local businesses. A number of other happy folks purchased original artworks, photographs, greeting cards, and more.

We encourage those of you who decided not to risk a fender bender to come in to see the work before the show ends on February 17.

Local Flavor

The Gateway Artists have been working hard to put on a fresh new exhibit during the St. Louis Art Fair this weekend in Clayton. Most of the artists have created a piece of art that communicates the Local Flavor theme this year. Each work of art is signified by the "Local Flavor" tag by each person's work of art. If you would like a sneak preview, then visit our Facebook Photo Album where most of our artists have posted a photo of their work. This album only gives you a taste though. You have to come in an see for yourself all the beautiful work we have for sale!

We have special art fair hours this weekend:
Friday,     September 10 5:00pm - 10:00pm
and we will have light appetizers from Mazara's.
Saturday, September 11 10:00am - 10:00pm
Sunday,   September 12 10:00am - 5:00pm

We are also welcoming three wonderful guest artists for this year's fair; Michael Anderson, Daven Anderson, and Greg Kluempers.
